Many samples contain a significant amount of moisture and drying them would result in distortion of the sample morphology. When drying a sample is not possible, imaging a frozen sample in a cold stage enables examination while keeping the morphology of the sample intact
We have capabilities to image vacuum-sensitive and vulnerable samples such as biological, food or organic coatings with our temperature-controlled sample holder. By controlling the temperature and humidity around the sample we can minimize the effect of the damaging effects of the electron beam and vacuum.
Based on the Peltier principle and designed in a way that the temperature can be adjusted we are able to accurately monitored and control the temperature of the sample from -25°C to +50°C, with an accuracy of ±1.5°C. We can accommodate samples size of 25mm diameter and 5 mm height with this imaging service.
